Discipline!

Regardless of what you have been told, children need discipline.if they do something that you, as their parent, tell them not to then they should have punishment for it.they need to learn that once boundaries are set then they need to follow them.maybe not follow them exactly but close enough.
I have a son who loves cell phones.but the only way he can get a new one is one of two ways:1.he breaks one of the phones he has or 2.he behaves for at least a week or two.for his reward he can choose either another phone or a portable charger to go with it.depending on our price range at the time.
Do I believe in spanking? Yes I do.it is the best and quickest form of punishment a parent can do.I don't do the whole going to bed hungry thing.my husband is gone mostly as he is in college so the punishments fall on me.
I love my kids and I do not want to see them as theives or in jail for disrespecting a cop or something.I may be considered old-fashioned by today's standards but honestly your opinion doesn't matter to me.

Can you handle it?

I hear stories about women wanting to have children but if they find out that these children have any kind of disability then they give the child away.that is heartbreaking! Let me tell you that in my household I have to wear glasses, and deal with epilepsy,my husband wears glasses and has glaucoma and my eldest son has had to have cataract surgery and shunt surgery and he is five years old now.my youngest son is only three months old and just had his first surgery a few weeks ago.he has cataracts as well.
My entire family has disabilities but I am not ashamed of either of my boys.I know that they are different then most their age and will possibly be picked on later in life but I would not change them for anything.I love them both.of you do not want a child even though he or she has disabilities then you are not ready to become a parent.a real mother will love her children regardless.
A real mother does what is best for her children.that includes accommodate for their disabilities and still love them with all her heart.of you cannot handle it then please, don't reproduce.

Ready to be a mother?

So you think you want to have kids and you have had the discussion with your partner or boyfriend and let's say that he is on board so what is next?
Well, when you do get pregnant, you will have to deal with 1.wierd urges 2.heartburn of some kind 3.swollen ankles 4.sore back 5.restless sleep 6.watching your body gain weight 7. Relentless kicking from inside your body 8.labor pains 9.recovery which is painful.
So are you ready now? You will also deal with never having personal space anymore, never pee alone anymore, never get to fully sit down and eat.
But before you start freaking out.you will get the joy of holding a sweet baby fall asleep on you.the sweet moments when they are older and when they tell you they love you and awesome things like that.

Being a mother is the most stressful yet loving job there is out there.❤

Listen up guys!

And yes,by guys,I mean all you husband's out there.you have got to understand that for us stay at home moms,it's not easy.regardless of what you see and hear....we don't sit around all day.we are constantly up with the children, cooking, cleaning and wondering if you are faithful or not.and during the night we get sporadic sleep between getting up with the baby every three or four hours while you are over there sleeping from the moment your head hits the pillow until you get up the next morning.
Give us a break.take over watching the kids for a few hours so we can catch up on sleep,or be daring and take them for a whole day ;) also, take over their night time routine once in awhile so the wife can get a relaxing bath.cook for her at least once during the week.she will appreciate it.she will also love it if you took over feeding,if bottle feeding, and diaper changing some of the time.

When your wife actually comes out and says that she is tired or is going crazy then relieve her.let her relax.she deals with the children, grandparents, and your crap all day every day so it will not hurt you to get off your ads and do something.after all those children carry half of your DNA so pull your part and do half of the load.fair is fair.

Hey

Hey guys,
Sorry for not posting anything in awhile.I now have two boys now.plus all the other stay at home stuff and making things for a friend of mine who requested a crochet mermaid blanket for her and someone she knows. I like buying handmade things because it's something unique and no two items are ever the same. Plus if you buy something from someone who made it themselves then you just might have helped them buy their kids' Christmas presents. So when buying things this year, please consider shopping 1.locally and 2.handmade so that we all help each other and our fellow neighbors.

Who I am...

I hate to admit it but I have an introvert personality.I also get depressed easily especially when you weren't really invited to something but that one relative posts pictures and videos about it and you wish they would have invited you or even acknowledge you sometimes. Like a "hey, how are you?" kind of thing but they don't,yet they have you as a friend on Facebook and some even have you on their instagram.
I hate being this way because in a way my children suffer from not having memories to look back on like I have of my childhood. It makes me sad at the same time I feel better knowing I'm keeping them from certain influences.

Mom? Perfect?

I don't know about other moms out there but my house is never completely clean and I almost never wear makeup and I am usually in my pj's all day,my hair stays a mess and I sometimes yell at my kids.
Where people got the idea that mothers look, talk and act like Mary poppins is beyond me. Most moms like me survive on fast food or something quick to eat like poptarts or something and some sort of caffeine just to survive the day.

Most of us don't have any kind of schedule going and the kids usually are driving her crazy and a husband who doesn't help much.so stop thinking that we are all perfect because we aren't. We are normal people just like everyone else.we have no superpowers or anything else.well..except maybe the ability to block out the favorite song that gets played a thousand times or the ability to hear a baby whining through just about any noise.lol.
