Mornin'
Nowadays it's getting harder and harder to be able to tell a true Southerner from someone who just wears the clothes and boots. Everyone has buckets of self-confidence and take way too many pictures of themselves. So its pretty hard to tell a true Southerner from one who pretends when its appropriate.
A true Southerner doesn't brag that she's (or he) country. They wear their cowboy boots and jeans because their comfortable. They eat the typical southern food without bragging that they made it all by themselves. They also have manners and are respectable to everyone and yes they might be a little bit racist.
Those that play dress up, usually only do it when they go to a concert or somewhere that they might be seen wearing the jeans and boots. They constantly brag about 'being country' and everything else. They also do not know how to cook nor do they even make homemade things.
There is s huge difference in the two types. Sometimes its easy to tell but mostly its hard to tell but a true Southerner can tell from miles away:-)
Bless your hearts!

Easter
Happy easter!
Today is Easter and most of you have went your church's sunrise service and then to church and are now preparing easter eggs or preparing to visit family. Weather is holding up nicely except that its rather windy out. I do have one interesting thing to note that, did you know that the holiday that you are celebrating today was once a pagan holiday called Ostara? Or that the rabbit, or hare, is associated with this holiday because it represents fertility. The eggs represent abundance and new life. And if you bury a raw egg in your garden or by your front door, its supposed to bring you fertility and abundance during the year.
This blog is inspired by my being from the South but I lean towards my native american roots and my German roots when it comes to spirituality. Sitting in a stuffy old church building surrounded by family who only are nice to you when they see you, only during the holidays. I prefer to be out in the open air, surrounded by chattering birds, feeling the wind blow across my face and through my hair.
But anyways, happy holidays!

Bundy situation
The media and the government are saying that the Bundy family are terrorists when they only stood up to the government. Anyone who tries to stand up for their rights is deemed terrorist. I know it in my heart that there is a civil war coming. We are living in a modern version of the civil war, 'gone with the wind' type days. We need to stick together in times like these.

Reliving old times.
Hello all,
I strongly believe that we are reliving history. Only that we skipped the part where we came to America and fast forwarded to the civil war times. Blacks and whites are hating each other, and the racism and hatred is rising and tempers are rising with each time a rape or murder between black and whites happens. Its going to come to a boil I g point eventually. Only this time, the government is more powerful and there are less citizens willing to fight against Yankees.
The South still doesn't have as many weapon factories as the north does but hopefully we'll still have the fighting spirit we had all those years ago. This time, women can fight. I believe in the South, do you?
I believe that there isn't a better place to live or raise children then the good ole' South. Where religion and family is just as important as good manners and good food. Where children as young as twelve learn to shoot guns and can hunt or fish.
What do you all think?
