I finally got finished with this great book that I'd been trying to read for at least two weeks now. (I'm not a slow reader but when you have kids, they take up most of your time) But the book is called Washington's spies. It tells of how Washington had a spy ring going during the revolutionary war and it even dabbles in some about Benedict Arnold. But I did find interesting that during that time was when the first use of invisible ink was formulated and used. I'm not sure if it is true or not but I wouldn't put it past Washington to come up with that. Don't get me wrong, Washington was no saint either. He very much liked prostitutes, leaving him at odds with his wife a lot but as far as a president and a soldier, though, he was a force to be reckon with. If you read up on a lot of our forefathers, the majority of them weren't very nice as far as beings people persons but they were very smart ad far as government goes and military.
Who else can write a document that even to this day in time,2014,still use the document as it was said. I seriously doubt I can.
I believe that those of us who are fighting back against the government now believe in the same things that they believed in back then. Gerald O'Hara from"Gone with the wind" said best though. He said that land was the only thing worth fighting for, worth dying for. I for one agree with that. Without land, you would have nothing to call your own. You wouldn't have foundation on which to build home and family upon. Land provides food, shelter and if we treat it right, land makes us feel as if we're apart if something bigger.
Most of our forefathers were not Christians either, the people who discovered this land were but the ones who built the United States of America on that land were not. " In God we trust" was added to our money several years after most of our forefathers had died.
It's better to read up on history by way of books from stores or by history channel, even then you have to be skeptical on who's right. You surely cannot true the school systems one bit.
Til another time.......:-)

New sex ed books
I read a lot about how enraged parents are a the new sex ed books that some middle school children have. My only problem with the whole thing is that it's coming from the government. Things like that are meant to be taught at home by the parents. Also, I really do not see why parents are so outraged over children getting married so young.
Back in old days, parents arranged their children's marriages. Some as young as infants were promised to boys and some got married to a man of the parent's approval at the age of sixteen. Its called surviving. Most of the ancestors of people that live in this country have probably had family members that have done that or had that happen to them. A lot of the ones complaining should be lucky because if some hadn't done that then the complainers wouldn't even be here.
If my son gets some girl pregnant at sixteen then I would expect him to do the right thing and marry her. The bible says that when a woman gets married then she becomes one with the man. Naturally, at any age, that would mean that the girl that gets pregnant or even just marries the boy or man then should leave her family and live with his. It would mean that all of you who read this and are high school or college age, running around and getting girls pregnant then need to man up, take your responsibility and be the father/man of the house!
People these days are such babies when it comes to things of this matter.
We need to teach children our country's real history. Not spend a day or week on wars and not spend an eternity on slavery that really only happened for maybe twelve years. Stop all this calling people racist and stop pushing being gay and interracial relationships on children.
Grow a pair of balls, and get over it!!!

Southern thing...
One thing that I've noticed that's pretty dominant here in the south, is a healthy respect for the military. It may be because in almost every Southern family, there is at least a cousin or grandfather or some relative that is/was a war veteran and most probably have someone overseas right now as your reading this. In my family, my great grandfather on my mother's side was a world war vet and my grandfather on my father's side is a Korean war veteran. I have a great-uncle on my dad's side that's a world war ll veteran and one that's a Korean war vet.
I have a cousin that has went to Afghanistan and Iraq and a cousin in the Navy, army and air force right now. Some may have more and some may have less. But we as Southerners have a very healthy respect for our military.

More and more...
Each and everyday I'm seeing on the news or on Facebook how restaurants are taking certain things off media to appease the Muslims and even though christian children children can't pray in school but they can make them bow to the Muslim Allah or they actually suspend them for it. The last time I checked, people, this was America. The country of the free and home to the brave. Of course now it needs to be changed to " America, country of the enslaved and home of cowards" now because nobody is standing up for anything! This country prided itself on having its own citizens take up for themselves even against the government. I don't think it has set in on how far we've fallen off of our pedestal yet to a lot of people.
Now granted, I'm of the pagan spirituality but I think in a way Christians deserve/don't deserve what their getting. Christians have tormented and mocked and ridiculed and judged others of a different religion for YEARS and now that many are getting back what they dished out, their playing the victim card now. After all these years, Christians are getting their own taste of medicine.
I've been saying that a civil war will be reenacted this time for real but if you really open your eyes, its happening now. Our rights are slowly being taken away, our protection is being attacked, its only a matter of time when our food and other small things will be attacked, but believe me when I say that it is coming. You can rest assured that. Call me crazy or call me a conspiracy theorist if you want but its coming. And half the population of this country doesn't even realize it. Those that deny will get a harsh awakening!
Believe me yet?

My town...
I hr a lot of people talk crap about my little hometown but to be honest, I love it here. Granted, its a rather small place and the nearest grocery store or Walmart is fifteen miles away and the nearest mall is thirty miles away in two different directions but I don't mind. the school system consists of one building that houses kinder garden through sixth grade and it is one straight hallway with doors at either end and the high school building is constructed like an 'h' with two long hallways and one short in the middle. And the school population is about three hundred kids in the entire system. Even the college here is small. And the two consists of a police department, hair salon, cell phone store, bank, two gas stations, a dollar general store and a snack place and nothing else. Even though the county has gone 'wet', you have to go fifteen miles to the nearest town to get alcohol.
Everyone knows everyone. My family has always lived here, for generations upon generations. My husband complains that there never is anything to do here but then again he was born in Florida. Around here you go hunting and fishing and you attend every high school football game every Friday night.
I love this town. I hope that my son comes to love it as well
